The lightweight, yet robust build features four foldable rubber-padded feet that extend to raise the unit to industry-standard height, or incline it for contoured comfort. Similar to Remix Deck usage, the D2’s touch-sensitive performance knobs and faders will instantly correspond to a loaded Stem file’s different ‘stem’ parts.ĭesigned to minimize bulk and setup time, TRAKTOR KONTROL D2 is highly transportable for DJs on the go. Eight color-coded pads can trigger sounds, juggle cue points while in Hotcue Mode, or rearrange a playing track on the fly in Freeze Mode. And realistically, with CDJ-2000's, beatmatching is so simple (or maybe it's because I've been doing it for over a decade!).Designed for creative DJ performance that takes the DJ’s focus away from the laptop, TRAKTOR KONTROL D2 offers groundbreaking touch-and-see workflow in a compact format optimized for easy set-up with club equipment. I still have my Technics SL-1200's with timecode vinyl. Skilfully designed & moulded to fit the NI Traktor Kontrol D2 controllers, these cases are perfect for the travelling DJ that needs to protect their equipment. This shouldn't be understated! One thing I always hated about my X1's is you have to think twice before touching anything (particularly in the FX sections) because you have to look to see what effect is loaded, etc. Constructed from durable lightweight compression moulded EVA material with a laminated nylon exterior these cases provides protection against drops, scratches & liquids. The integration is similar to using the Maschine Studio in that having the screen right in front of you, telling you what each knob does, is very important. So far, I have to say I'm very impressed. I decided instead to get a pair of Kontrol D2's. I also never use the CD functionality, and at home, I just use them as HID controllers for Traktor. I was thinking about moving over to the new CDJ's, but they are SO pricey at this point. With the new Nexus 2 decks out, I have decided to sell off my Nexus pair while they still have quite a bit of value on them. The club closed last year, and I haven't played out since. Over the years though, I did use different setup's at that club, including Traktor (control CD's), X1's alone, etc. I'd typically just bring my CDJ-2000's and play off of USB sticks. I was a resident DJ at an after hours club in Boston for quite a number of years, and having my own CDJ's was nice (theirs were pretty beat up). I've had CDJ's since CDJ-1000 MK2's (bought back in 2005).
